Good site in WSW winds for ridge soaring and learning to XC for new pilots with many places to land. There is potential to climb out to Nicomen mtn just make sure you have enough height to cross the plateau. There is also another large hayfield to the east beside the gravel area in case of failed XC flight.

WSW facing Slope between the trees. 1500'(480m)site set up for 2 gliders. Ridge soarable in light west to southwesterlies. If you take off from the slope make sure your wing is level or you will end up in the trees. Large open grass field at 100'(30m) just to left of launch. In strong conditions can also land in grass field on south side of tracks. Try to land near the road so the grass doesn't get flattened. Take hwy #7 east of mission to Hawkins Pickle rd east. Drive to launch is 16km. Follow Norrish creek rd to resevoir and then take right fork after crossing bridge. Then head south for 8km on the main rd. Alternative is park at the end of Hawkins Pickle rd beside the gate and hike for 60 mins Follow Raven bluffs trail from the east side of suicide bridge staying to the right ignoring any spur trails to the left. Just before reaching Raven bluffs summit turn left and follow the ridge passing a cabin to launch. Un-regulated contact local pilots Un-regulated contact local pilots

Usually the last site in the fraser valley to get blown out but summer sea breezes june-august can become quite strong at times.
